Top Drawer's journey began in a walk-in closet. Literally. After a challenging internship that led to an unfulfilling job, founder Chris Collins knew there had to be a better way. Living in a 100-square-foot walk-in closet in Kansas City with just enough room for a twin bed and his clothes, he made the bold decision to start fresh. Within 48 hours, he quit his job,  broke his lease, and embarked on the entrepreneurial path that would lead to Top Drawer.

The name "Top Drawer" came from Chris's grandmother Rosalie, a force of nature who worked at her local newspaper from age 19 until she was 86. She suggested it because "you put all your most prized possessions in the top drawer of your dresser." That simple wisdom perfectly captures our approach: treating every project with the care and attention it deserves. The name is a lasting tribute to her legacy of building relationships and serving others.

Chris's unique background combines marketing insight with fine arts expertise - a foundation that allows him to both understand client needs and execute creative solutions. This dual perspective shapes Top Drawer's approach of not just fulfilling orders, but elevating them into meaningful brand experiences.
